Goldman Sachs
Marcus
Managed a team of talented engineers to deliver various projects/ features for Marcus, a consumer banking platform of Goldman Sachs. Working closely with the product management and business folks, delivered on many important initiatives like customer oauth token management, loan decisioning platform, small loans product offering, disaster & relief offerings, etc.
Intraday Risk
As part of the Intraday Risk Management team, I designed & built a ‘Risk Dashboard’ platform using REST and AngularJS. This enabled Risk Managers to monitor clients’ exposure to the market thereby accurately measuring the impact of market-moving events. The system consumed ~2000 trades/ second in real time, rendering them in a grid based format and making the entire dataset filter/ sort enabled.
I also contributed to the development of a low latency system in C++ that calculates the intraday trading risk and alerts the Risk Managers of high risk trades. Based on ~10/15 complicated inputs to the system, this platform computed the risk for the firm on each trade within a span of millisecond. Huge win for the platform was successfully being able to alert our risk manager during the Knight Capital error trades issue.

- Global Technology Innovation Awards- Best in Business Unit
- Global GS Hackathon winner for year 2015
- Worked with ‘Save The Elephants’ foundation as part of the GS Gives initiative

I also helped revamped the commission and fee rules engine from Charles River’s legacy system to a more UX friendly system thereby saving ~30% time for traders.
